With any manual transmission, the gearbox needs to be maintained to keep everything working properly. The fluids in the gearbox provide lubrication to all the bearings, gears and shafts located in the different types of gearboxes that operate under high stress and heat.

• Remove and inspect the fill plug.
• Remove and inspect the drain plug.
• Remove the old gear oil.
• Reinstall the drain plug.
• Fill the manual transmission or differential with new gear oil.
• Reinstall fill plug.

This service will help protect against bearing and gear failure, and prevents the gears from overheating.
